In an authentic Auvergne farm which was built in 1894, Colette and Laurent have set up the "CANTOU D’EMILE". They will be delighted to welcome you in this comfortable holiday home. This rural holiday home has been rated with 3 épis (3 ears of corn (in the Gîtes de France rating system).

After a long hike or a day of skiing, enjoy the warmth of the “Cantou d’Emile” or savour the tranquillity of the garden in the shade of age-old trees.

Housed in the old bread oven, the fully equipped kitchen offers all modern comforts. The design of the bathroom with a massage shower will surely seduce you.

The use of wood and other natural materials (wood wool padding, soy paints...) shows of our attention to your health and that of our planet.

"Le Cantou d'Emile" is located at 5 minutes from Le Mont-Dore. There you will find besides shops for you daily needs, the thermal baths - a historic monument where people with respiratory problems and rheumatism are being treated, a casino (roulette, slot machines, bar, Sunday afternoon dances), a cinema, an ice rink, a ten-pin bowling alley, a 9 hole golf course and the Le Capucin tree adventure park.

The Puy de Sancy with an altitude of 1886 m the highest point of the Massif Central, is at 5 km (ski resort – cable car).

For fishing enthusiasts, the Dordogne river is at 10 minutes, the Lac du Guéry at 10 km.

In winter, cross country skiing and snowshoeing can be practiced on site.
